So I've done my first 2 backloads now and I feel a bit soft today, maybe a bit bloated.  My food choices (Domino's pizza, homemade cheesecake, Barq's root beer, cookies, etc.), especially for the first night (though I felt better after that than I do today), weren't exactly ideal but they were what I was craving.  Both nights my backloads last 6 hours after training and I went to bed feeling pretty full (understatement).  I've also found it pretty difficult to make sure I'm getting much water down my throat while backloading. I suppose I've just got to get the hang of it and figure out what foods work for me.  I still don't have a very clear idea of what leaves me feeling bloated and what doesn't so I'll just try different stuff each night.  I'm going ULC today so we'll see what that does.  I suppose I've just got to be patient and try and learn a bit each time.  I can't expect to get it exactly right immediately. I'm going with DB as I'd really like to get some solid growth, especially in my lats, chest and biceps.  I'm just constantly fighting myself as I'm paranoid about putting on fat.  Tomorrow after I train shoulders I'll see if I can keep the backload closer to 4 hours, which I think will be easier to achieve after this first week or so when I've had my fill of the foods I'm craving.  The prep phase got me used to going ULC and I've got it down to where I know I'm getting enough protein during that portion of the day and I'm only getting about 10g of carbs, but aside from that, I'm not keeping track of my macros at the moment, which I'm doing intentionally to try and get out of the habit of being so regimented and stressing myself out.  Anybody having a similar experience or have any tips?

Once I shortened my backloads to ~4 hours, I started feeling much better in the mornings.
