Trevor G FullbrightModeratorOats can cause bloating in some people, and they really aren't that great for carb nite depending on how late you had them.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorYou are still in stage prep, right? Were you just doing a typical BB diet before trying this or where you doing some like a CKD?

businessGuestYea still prepping I was eating mod protein lo fat high carb and cycling carbs from 100-1000 my met rate skyrocketed when I got down below 4% so I was eating Atleast 400 grams carbs to maintain size. I got cocky and decided to try carb back loading for a week and ate the wrong foods in the process like pop tarts and other sweets that when I look back now have high fructose corn syrup which def caused me to spill bad! So I had to go keto to shake the access and I'm still in the processI think I'm gna stay keto and implement carbs pwo after heavy days till I'm back to where I need to be! Then just slowly add carb refeeds 2-3 a week

I think for now that would be your best bet.Kiefer tweaks and mixes backloading and carb nite to get people stage ready so that's a good route to take.I'd wait to start backloading till after your show and work into during your off season when there is some more room for error then you can tweak to make it work best for you. Also, I know what you mean about kinda going crazy with the foods at first. When I first started with backloading I went pretty batshit with it because I could eat all these foods I wouldn't touch for so long. At this point I honestly eat mostly potatoes, white rice, and homemade rice pudding with some of the other crap maybe 1-2 times a week, I feel much better and look much better for it, haha.

businessGuesthaha i know ive been oats and brown rice for 5 years! honestly i kinda alread miss it lol. ive had my fix of the sweet stuff allthough im an enjoying the grass fed beef bacon and eggs i dont like the flat look it makes me look soft but iam still shedding from the week of splurge! i think salt is essential on keto diet i salted my food today and it made a huge diff in how i looked and felt. and yea thats what im gna do is implement carbs back around my training during the week and stay mostly lo carb with refeeds 1 thing ive noticed is when i take 4-5 tbl mct oil before my workout and 1-2 after without cho the thermic effect is un real if your looking for some good fat loss!

Some extra sodium makes a huge difference.I add 1-3 tsp of sea salt a day to water depending on how much I've been sweating.
