After first week of backloading I’ve learned some stuff

    I've been backloading since Monday night and I've learned a good deal.  I'm looking considerably softer than I was on Tuesday morning after my first backload.  I've been using SW in conjunction with CBL and I've tweaked it a bit.  I haven't been able to make up my mind whether to do SA or DB and I've ended up training 6 days in a row (which I tend to do), and I've been approaching my backloads and ULC portions of each day as if I'm somewhere between SA and DB, if that makes sense.  So, the things I've noticed/learned are:1.  I think I push myself a bit too hard, I haven't felt that great for the past 2 days and I think my indecision about whether to do DB or SA has led to me not looking after myself properly.  2.  I've definitely gotten the hang of going very low carb for the ULC portions of the day, more so than when I did my prep phase.3.  While I love to go nuts on the foods I've been craving, I don't love trying to get to sleep feeling pregnant.  4.  While I don't think I've put on much of any fat over the course of this week, I've definitely overdone it.  It's been a good learning experience though.  I've been eating a lot of the stuff I've been craving this week and I have a much better idea of what foods work for backloads and which foods don't.5.  I think I'll eat how I'd like for a couple of days (Tuesday night my mother-in-law wants to take us out for curry) and start a fresh prep phase on Wednesday.  I'm not sure whether to do it for a week or just go for the full 10 days, I'd just like to get rid of the weight I put on this week and start fresh, with a cleaner, more disciplined approach to my backloads.6.  I'll start an actual log.  I'd love to have some feedback from anyone who wants to offer it.  I'll get that going in the next couple of days, starting with a rundown of my daily nutrition.  I'm open to any critiques of my routine so have at it!

    I forgot to mention earlier that while I haven't felt amazing the past 2 days (a bit headachey), my energy during the ULC parts of the day has been great.  I've felt alert and charged up, especially when there's coconut oil involved.  I'd take that to mean my body has definitely adjusted to using fat for energy.  I trained legs yesterday using a bunch of crap in my back yard and I'm definitely feeling it today.  Today is my first off day this week and I'd planned on going ULC all day, now I'm wondering if I should do a smaller clean backload tonight as I'm feeling yesterday's workout in my legs.  Any suggestions?

    Im in the same boat as you! i did it for a week and im not liking the water weight ive put on so now Im backing off as well and cleaning it up. i dont know that the dirty part of the diet applies to contest prep maybe 1 a week? but for now im  going to clean up my night time carbs and only take in carbs pwo to shake this water weight!! has anyone else tried this for prepping for a show any links?
