    So where do you have your ratio if 1:1 PRO:FAT didn't work?  Looking for another tweak to my CNS myself as I am stalled and am not overdoing any of the usual suspects (only 3 eggs/day w/ bacon, 2oz. cheese/day, no Ace-K).

    About 40% fat / 60% protein.  Works a treat for me.  So, just slightly lower than 50/50%, and in favor of protein.Macros are precise to the diet on page 181 (I believe) of CNS, which seemed right for my lean weight (that is why I worked from it).Cory

    The book is full of great plans.People argue:  the book is out-dated, and needs to be updated.I retort:  the book MAY need to be updated, but it DID work for people (see the testimonials).  It won't suddenly stop working b/c new information has surfaced.  Sure, it can be made more efficient, perhaps... but, it won't stop working, as it were, in light of updates.  It can just be made better.Cory

    I agree – especially inasmuch as Kiefer said himself that the (original) book is not geared toward athletes/performance.  Perhaps the new/updated book will offer such different 'sub-plans.'

    Question.I was thinking of stopping this diet for a week or two to reset. Before I started doing this diet I was hardcore intermittent fasting every other day or sometimes twice a week. Does this sound like a good idea? What are everyone's thoughts?

    Uhm may I ask why would you get off this diet? Which one exactly? CNS or CBL? You don't have to backload, do CNS and/or Detox Diet and enjoy carbs that once a week. Pretty much reset yourself there?
