legion78MemberAnyone have this problem, on ULC days if I eat I get bloated and feel full for over 3 hours at times. What this does to me is not make me want to eat for a long period. Another thing it does is makes it difficult to ingest more water, which I know is important on this program because of the rationĀ of fats and proteins. I think it could possibly be due to the sodium in much of the food I eat…..burgers, salami, pepperoni, ground pork. So one thing I was thinking is cutting that stuff out for a bit and possibly re-introduce leaner, less sodium meats like chicken and turkey………as long as I add adequate fat (butter, coconut oil, low-sodium bacon) I think I should be ok. Help?

Pretty much that cause of that, or stress in life situations that can play a role.

Chicken and Turkey are not as ideal.If you're adding salt around your CN then it will cause issues.

No just the bacon because of perserving it in the package. I really haven't seen high numbers for beef. Also the seasonings could be an issue too that you might use while cooking!

legion78Memberphxplay & Big TexIm not going to replace beef, well atleast steak I won't. Im going to keep the steak and add in chicken and turkey a bit more. Im going to try out lower sodium bacon so I can cut the sodium down some. Im still going to make sure that I get plenty of fats from butter, coconut oil, ghee, low sodium bacon. You guys have any other suggestions..............

FairyGuestAvoid any lunch meats that might have preservatives inEat good quality porkMake sure you're getting your meat from a decent source

Richard SchmittModeratorNormally when I cook my foods I don't add any salt, I might add some sea salt like 1-2x a month. Just cause. But the only sodium I ever get is from bacon or the treats I get for the backloads or my CN. I would over packaged lunch meats. They are nasty stuff first off and second you would be better off probably getting it from an actual butcher/deli meats section. Avoid those store packaged stuff…

businessGuestHonestly I think u need sodium on ulc days with out it yor muscles will be flat! And alderstone levels sky rocket without it! Plus ur brain will function better! Morton light salt is another good option
