Hey is it cool to use chia seeds in the LOW carb part of the day while back loading?  The amount I would use is 15g (1 table spoon) – Says5g fat5g carb (all fiber)2g proteinThis would only be done once or twice per day at most. Thanks!

Per day? Not a good idea. Once or twice a week is pushing it but ok.

Yeah, why?  The carbs are canceled out by the fiber.  It's only a few grams of fiber.  I think mine are 4 g carbs, 4 g fiber.  How could that be bad?  They also have fat/protein.

The paleo people would say no, but if you don't follow that protocol, then yes.  It is fine from a CBL standpoint.

Isn't DHA (the omega 3 you get from fish) more useful for the body than EPA or ALA (omega 3 from plants) [http://chriskresser.com/why-fish-stomps-flax-as-a-source-of-omega-3]?What are you taking the seeds for?

Some people just like them.  I personally like the texture they add to things.  I tried hemp seeds today and they were even better.

Yeah, ALA is just about pointless as far as omega 3 supplementing goes. That much shouldn't effect anything, it would be be an issues if you are eating lots and using it as a large portion of your fat intake.

ALA is junk, but EPA is as good as DHA.  The body can actually interconvert EPA and DHA.
