Should I Keep Doing CNS?

    @Acarnovale Getting the ZMA, thanks. Any thoughts in dose?@MrJ I've considered this too. Maybe redoing the prep phase would help teach my body to low carb better?

    For a female, take 2 ZMA pills (males take 3).  Do this approx. 2 hours after your final meal, and 30 minutes before hitting bed.Sleep Apnea can be deadly, so I'd get it looked into sooner rather than later.  Not trying to scare you, just honesty.  SOURCE:  My mother had it.Best wishes,Cory

    Thanks Cory. I'm sorry to hear your mother had it, I went to the doctor today and she's testing my thyroid, but will probably move onto a sleep test if that's not it. I couldn't get the ZMA this time but am substituting with equal quantities of zinc and magnesium. I'm having a bit of a problem with timing though. I usually don't get home until 7pm and need to be asleep for 9pm, so if I need to fast for two hours before taking the vitamins and then wait half an hour before bed, I can't eat dinner (and 'backload' the calories).

    Fairy, you're female, correct?  Can you be pregnant???  Nothing makes you more tired than early pregnancy.Just thought I'd bring it up before you start adding more supplements.  If you're male, not to worry:).  For what its worth, I get pretty tired, but not enough to nap.  I've been losing sleep actually.

    I couldn't get the ZMA this time but am substituting with equal quantities of zinc and magnesium.

    If I remember correctly, zinc and magnesium interfere with the absorption of one another.  The aspartate form in ZMA supposedly prevents that.  So you may not be able to just pick up a bottle of any ol' zinc and magnesium and expect the same results.  Also I don't think the quantities are equal either.  Anyway, give your make-shift ZMA a shot, if it doesnt work the first night, I wouldn't bother with it again.

    Oh, okay. Will order some real ZMA online. Any thoughts on figuring out the food timing when I'm getting home at 7, and need to sleep at 9pm? It doesn't really work with the idea of backloading calories
