Might be a dumb question but, even if there are little or no carbs in it are there any blends of coffee that i should stay away from? I wasn't sure if there were any blends that would cause an insulin response or anything.

I'd google for nutrition facts. Best bet to get black and add own flavored.

Anything that advertises “blend” tells me they either don't know or don't want me to know where the coffee actually came from. Get single origin. “flavored” = sugar.

Blends are a mix of different kinds of coffee and as stated above you seldom know what the exact mix is (often times the ratios change based on cheapest sources). Stick with single source you like and if you must, make your own blends…again, using single sources of your choosing.Flavored coffees are subjected to some flavoring system (some have suger others have artificial sweetners) that often spoils before the coffee does. Get some good coffee and just add some spice according to taste. If you are determined to have your coffee taste like toffee, pralines and cream or some other weird flavor...add it in yourself on a per cup basis. Be sure to read the label and know exactly what you are adding to your coffee and if it fits into the ULC / CBL part of your day.
