underd0gKeymasterI just started CBL, finished the prep phase a day ago. Last night (my first carb back load) I had about 120g worth from carbs of rice, 20g worth of carbs from mixed berry jam, 50g worth of carbs from cherry ice cream and an unknown amount of carbs from a couple of mini portions of pastries… All amounting to about 300g of carbs all together. According to CBL's tables I am allowed about 100-200 g worth of carbs more than what I ate but I felt very bloated this morning after that meal… However, after i did my business my abs were much more visible and tight looking.Perhaps I should have a little but more fiber at night to get rid of the bloat? Any suggestions? Please let me know your own experiences!

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorFiber during the backload tends to mess people up because it slows digestion of the foods and can interfere with the GH release after bed.Try magnesium citrate (natural calm). The other issue could be an intolerance. Do you eat the foods you used often?

Richard SchmittModeratorFiber actually won't help with the bloat. I tried something that helped me this morning. Took about 3 Tsp of Natural Calm last night before bed, this morning did its thing and I look pretty good. If bloat is the problem this stuff with help.

jtrouve63MemberIt's tough to recommend how many carbs to eat. If you are feeling tight and look good stick with what you are doing. I was eating around 400g when I started and was feeling bloated upon waking which you really shouldn't. I gained a ton of weight at first and a decent amount of fat. I've since dialed it back to ~250g per backload and my results have been good. I would stick with what you are doing or maybe even dial back a little bit (so you aren't bloated). If you notice some fat gain just dial back a little. It does take some time.

TheDanParticipantFor asessment sake you could try the exact same backload again minus the ice cream ( compensate for the amount of carbs being eliminated with other foods ) your bloating may be a lactose problem.

I do 3 meals but my Carb intake is 700-800gs so it is hard to cram that much into 1 or 2 meals i simply cant eat that much at once. I would go by what you feel is easiest to achieve your goal carb intake.
