kendogGuestYeah I trained yesterday around 5:30 pm and pounded carbs last night. So since I'm not training today, and I still don't know if I can work out tomorrow, do I hold off on carbs until tomorrow night regardless if I hit the gym or not?

webbyMemberDepends if you're doing DB or SA.If you're doing SA and NOT working out tomorrow morning, then you don't backload today, unless you've worked out this evening.

kendogGuestI'm doing SA. So from what I understand from the book, since I didn't work out yesterday and I'm not today, I should still eat carbs even though I'm working out tomorrow around 430 5ish?

kendogGuest5:00 pm, not am.

webbyMemberThere's 2 occasions you eat carbs.Either after you train (if your training finishes around 5-6pm.Or in the evening if you plan on training the next morning. So no, if you didn't train yesterday, or today and you're going to the gym tomorrow evening, then only eat carbs tomorrow after the gym.If you were going to the gym tomorrow morning, then you would eat carbs tonight (although not as much as a normal backload)

kendogGuestJust reread some stuff in the book and I think I'm going to do a small backload tonight. I'm doing legs tomorrow and I don't want to feel depleted for leg day. So far thats the only workout that I haven't backloaded the night before. If I hold off carbs tonight thats two full days with no carbs and even though I'm doing SA, I feel like I'm gonna be tired and lethargic tomorrow in the gym.
