When it comes to Carb Backloading, the most common question is, “What if I lift in the morning?”
This isn’t the ideal workout time for Carb Backloading, but it’s not the end of the world either.
There are a couple of work arounds.
The most basic modification is lift in the morning but still hold off carbs until the evening. This will allow you to get most of the benefits of Carb Backloading without negative effects. But…
If you want to the best of both worlds (this works really well for Carb Nite as well), here’s what to do:
1) Lift in the morning;
2) Wait 30 to 60 minute before having your post-workout shake;
3) Take Carb Shock with a low-carb protein powder;
4) Consume carbs in the evening.
This allows you to get that BIG insulin spike without the glucose AND maximizes recovery after your training without negatively affecting body composition.
If you need to know exactly how to program your insulin spikes for Carb Nite or Carb Backloading make sure to watch this video. http://carbshock.com/webinar/
