Fatigue issues

    I started doing “starting strength” 3 days a week and was running 2-3 days a week om off days. I noticed that at one point my sleeping pattern went to shit, couldn't sleep more than 3-4 hours at a time. Then my body wouldn't recover between lift days and I was always tired and sore. I was doing this routine for about 4 weeks before I felt exhausted.  I have done a routine with 2 a day cardio and lifted 5 days a week, low carb, and about 1800 cals a day and I sustained that for about 8-10 weeks before I started to fail. Not sure why I couldnt sustain this routine for more than 4 weeks.  My only thought is not enough food, but not sure that would cause such a drastic effect. At this point I am taking a 1 week break befor I get back to it but want to make sure I do not get back to this point, so any ideas of why this happened or how I can prevent it greatly appreciated.

    Was thelifting regime stuff you were used to doing, if not i find it best to let your body adjust to it before adding med-hard cardio. My clients will always start a gradual break in for the first 2 weeks when they first come to train with me as the training is always way different to what have been doing? So i don't give them anything other than long walks or easy rowing!Also with starting strength it is important to start lighter than you think you should. Food would also be a major factor again when starting something new, Just like CBL it is better to overdo eating when starting something new as your body will need the extra sustenance

    I'm having issues sleeping too, not sure what exactly it is either. I only get a good two meals in a day now since I've started CBL.

    Yeah the whole lifting heavy thing is new to me I am used to the 8-10 rep range. I guess it's a lot more taxing than I realized. Going to cut my runs to 1 once a week and add more food until I can find what works, thanx sckiely.@TexI read that your sleep is one of the first things to go if you are over excreting your body. Got it from a bb.com article so not sure how accurate that is.

    Sleep quality is depenedent on so many factors, right now you both seem to have made a whole heap of changes to your lifting, exercise and nutrition, that your body will be trying to make sense of it all! Plus hopefully you are predominantly running on ketogenic fuel, which if i am not mistaken is the brains fuel? hence overstimulation?My first thought would be to eat MORE carbs if you have sleeplessness, as this will release a whole lot of relaxing hormones? BUT i can't say for sure, perhaps cut back on some of the work, Particularly Tex with 6 days a week training/ try going back to 4 for a bit, the added recovery should help yoyur body come back into homeostasis quicker;

    When I am in a deep sleep I have crazy ass dreams too...I had one I was eating a cookies and cream birthday cake. Woke up hungry XD
