beeswaxtntKeymasterHello Everyone!I have been powerlift for 3 years now. I just heard about Keifers Carb backloading, and i Just got his e-book. But i find it very confused, as english is not my first language. I have a few questions regarding how much carbs to take in, and when i read the delta chart I find it extremely confusing.I was wondering how long you have to wait until you have your first meal after waking up? it does not say on the sample backloading sheet at the end of the book.I am around 187lbs at the moment I have just completed the 10 day carb depletion. And have lost 5lbsAlso how much carbs do i have to consume or consume. I lost around 5lbs. It says I should be consuming around 455grams of carbs. I dont understand what it means by baseline? Does it mean that this number is to maintain weight? or lose weight? my goal is to lose weight so do i have to eat less than this number? And as for protein my desired weight is 165lbs. It says if want to lean down stick with high end of protein scale so Do i consume 125.8 grams of protein before training? Many thanks Kim

Eric ShawMember76 views and no one answered yet?? I thought these were pretty good questions. Hopefully a vet can answer, because I'd like to know too.

Jas0nGuestThe charts in the book are due for an update and not a good source to go by.Regarding when to eat the first meal - simply make sure you don't fast longer than 12 hours (insert either coffee + MCT/coconut oil or meal here). Most people here will eat around 3-6 hours before their workout.Regarding the amount of carbs you eat - no book could ever tell you precisely how many carbs you need to lose/gain/maintain, there are way too many variables. Simply use the number from the delta chart as a base and experiment from there based on how your weight is trending.Lastly with the protein, just ensure you eat roughly half of your desired BW in grams of protein during the ULC portion, ~80g of both fat and protien for you and don't worry about the overall protein to much as long as you consume the PWO shake and your PWO meals along with your potentiator shakes.
