BrianBellittoMemberSo every Saturday morning a group of my friends pushes/drags the prowler (sled) and sometimes ends with some suicides after they all go and eat tons of food usually at a local mexican place aka a ton of carbs haha. I really want to join them but I know 1. HIIT isn't encouraged while doing CBL 2. Eating a ton of carbs that early in the day (1-2pm) is also not encouraged for CBL. Do you think doing something like this would have a big deal if it was once or twice a month?

Richard SchmittModeratorUhm not a big deal, but y'all would benefit better to try and move all that in the evening.

Yeah I mean none of them follow CBL or CN or anything so they def wont switch the timing. I might just not eat a ton after and try to eat more at night, just didn't want to feel weak all day if i didn't eat after that.

Richard SchmittModeratorYeah if anything stick to a fatty protein meal and be ULC for that type of HIIT. Or do a small backload the night prior.

Steak Fajitas would be perfect. Just be careful with added green bell peppers and grilled onions. carbs/starches will add up quick.

Arent most of the carbs in green bell peppers just fibre? Its more the red/yellow/orange you have to worry about because they have had more time to become "more sugary" for lack of the technical term.

Lesli BortzParticipantI'd agree with the fajitas – could probably enjoy the sour cream and get extra cheese as well. I would think even if you ate the heck out of onions/green peppers you are still WAY better off than most other options….so it would still be a “win”. Maybe try as low carb as possible the first time that month and then more carby (if necessary) the second time. As for the carb content - I was warned (as I did do a mexican meal on vacation that was fajitas sans the tortilla) that once they are grilled the useable carb content increases...but that's not a scientific answer, just relaying what was relayed to me via the forums.

Yes green bells are ok, but just want to keep some type of control or awareness on them. Me personally, I really enjoy homemade fajitas, and when cooking bell peppers with the steak I would honestly go all out.
