Asulfame potassium. Has the ability to spike insulin or cause other metabolic reactions we don't want. Could be ok, but if things aren't going well you should eliminate it.

    Read 8) http://suppversity.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/aspartames-anti-insulinogenic-effects.html

this is the part that confused me"as well as in view of the anti-lipolytic (=blocks the release of fat from the cells) of insulin during a workout, which could actually be blocked with a minuscule amount of aspartame .."So I thought that during CNS/CBL we are aiming for insulin insensitivity to reduce the chance of any glucose being stored as fat correct? And we are primarily relying on the Glut4 pathway to absorb glucose into the muscle cells, correct? But based on the above finding, it sounds like it is saying Aspartame prevents fat cells from release their fat. So I'm a little confused.

That's If you take something prior to lifting and/or during. Basically taking a form of maltodextrin and aspartame will cancel each other out while providing you energy for the workout and get shredded.
