Hello,I'm sure we are all quite aware of the DH opinion of caffeine. However, I recently read this quote maintaining quite the opposite view:“Caffeine is naturally designed to cause stupefaction of the brain. Caffeine is used by a number of plants as a nerve warfare chemical against their predators. The coffee plant produces caffeine in its seeds to defend itself. Caffeine inhibits the nervous system and memory mechanisms in its predators in such a way that they lose their wits and their art of camouflage and become less alert and reactive, thus less able to protect themselves. They become much easier prey for their predators. That is why the coffee plant is plagued by far fewer bugs than most other plants during its growth period. Bugs know better than to eat it. But we humans consume the plant’s chemical poison as a pleasure-inducing beverage.” —Dr. Batmanghelidj, MDWhat does everyone think (it seems logical, but on the other hand there were not any sources to support the claim(s) like Kiefer always famously includes)? Is Kiefer still right? Is caffeine still beneficial - or perhaps only under certain circumstances (like final exams and for CBL dieters)?!! 🙂Look forward to hearing what you think! Thanks and have a great day!

Humans have been consuming caffeine for a LONG time. I think as long as you are not a bug or plant you should be safe. If your that worried about it, cut it out of your diet and see what happens. With this protocol you dont HAVE to do anything, if you dont want caffeine, dont take it dude.

Caffeine is still beneficial yes. You don't have to take it if you don't want to. It helps with fat burning in the morning an taken PWO helps insulin sensitivity I believe as well. It's not necessary though.

When taken PWO, especially at night, I believe it makes fat cells more insulin resistant than they already are.  This means they become further repressed and even less involved in the carb feast during a backload.

In other words it helps you burn more fat when you drink it in the morning and store less fat when you drink it at night.

Er… Since when do humans react to substances in the same way as insects?
