Hello, my goal is to gain 2- 2 1/2 inches of muscle to my arms soon. I was wondering how much protein, carbs, and calories do I need to see gains quickly while carb back-loading. If its a lot, how can I get such a large amount in such a short amount of time? Ive read in many articles that it takes a year to gain an inch of muscle…is this true? pardon me if this is an ignorant question, but how do the celebrities bulk up so fast? Like Chris Hemsworth in Thor, Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises, and The Rock (he was already big) in Fast 5. My weight is 190 lbs and my arms are 16 1/2 and will not get any bigger… its frustrating. My arms used to be almost 19 inches but I was a “Pudgy” bodybuilder. I slimmed down from 265 to 186 then up to 190. I want to be huge and ripped. I just cant seem to get any bigger. Please Help! Oh, and also of course gaining muscle all around not just my arms. I workout 5-6 days a week. 😛

Welcome. There is no set amount you need to take in to get just add inches in your arms. You have to work with CBL in order to find what works best for you. Should eat 1g per body weight of protein for the day if not more. Eat 1:1 in your ULC meals. In grams not calories. Have you read the book? It'll tell you the max amount of carbs you should take in and dial it from there. Also if you google how those actors bulk up so fast you'll find your answer. It takes time to actually achieve that look and keep it. Look at what happened to Gerald Butler after 300, he got fat. So be careful in trying to bulk too fast and not wanting to keep it.

To add 1 inch to your upper arms, you need to add 15 lbs. of muscle overall.  That is the general rule.If you want 2 - 2.5 inches, you need to add 30 - 37.5 sold pounds of lean muscle to your entire frame.Celebrities bulk up fast for a few reasons:1.  They can focus on training for a role 24/7... which the average Joe w/ a day job cannot.2.  They have access to the BEST trainers in the industry.3.  They use anabolic steroids.  Muscle simply DOES NOT grow that fast.Cory
