CainoParticipantsorry im being a forum pest but this one has me stumped, back of the book says i should have 610 cals pre training (which isnt too much i dont think?) and many others recomend half your body weight in grams for fats and carbs which works out to 870 cals, which one is more of a better mark? have others experienced this problem?cheers guys!

Richard SchmittModeratorDon't count calories, but be aware of how much you're taking in with Macros

mda1125Guest+1 above..I'm finding that I need 144.9g of protein PRE-training. Thus, I am having to add in a "breakfast" 2 hours after waking up, a snack (almonds) lunch and possibly a snack about 1 hour before taking any Ignition Formula.Only way I get in the protein macros spread out.Not a lot of food mind you but I don't think 100g at lunch is what I'm looking for either. 5-6 protein bursts outta do it.My calories actually come close to the book's recommendations but I'm shooting for the macros and # of protein vs. pure calorie counts.

Yes I agree with you there! if i go from calories it's not much food at all!! I do believe however not having too many bats through the day would not be as good due to the possible large amount consumed in the almighty backloads

So youre saying you need 290g protein a day? 4x 70-80gram meals should do it. You could even do less like 50-60 grams if you are going to have a shake or two in there as well.
