chico1MemberHi everyone,I just started following the DH Heavy Duty training routine. I know Kiefer talks about over training aka over stimulating the central nervous system, but does this seem a little too short to anyone else who has tried it? Also if you have tried it, how have peoples results been?I'm 160 5'9" about 13-15% bf training to lean out and add ass much muscle as possible

TheDude825MemberHow does this program feel CNS wise? All those negatives sound like it would be a drain, but that is pure speculation. Anyone who has done this have any thoughts? Can it be a program to be followed for a long period of time or is it to be used once a month twice a year type of thing?

Damon AmatoParticipantOvertraining is a bit more individualized. I use heavy duty and I don't think it's too short at all. Probably depends how well you know your weights for the exercises too. I've been caught myself on leg day trying to do too much for back squats after going pretty heavy with front squats and had to drop the weight 20lb to get up the last two sets. If you go too light initially it may seem too easy or quick.

TheDude825MemberI see for back squats it says one ELECT set of 10+1. Does that mean doing a negative? That sounds like a bad idea to me…..

Damon AmatoParticipantYes, use a safety bar and end the rep by laying it on the bar.

TheDude825MemberOh wow. Alright. What are the pauses like in a psr set? It would take a bit to add weight to say a BB curl. just as quick as you can? Should you be failing on the last set of a psr set?

Damon AmatoParticipantI'd avoid ever “failing”. The last mini-set should be pretty tough while still being able to get the rep without grinding through it.

This program is NOT easy if you are doing it correctly.
