I purchased CBL a few months ago, but now have Carb Nite because I just don't have the time anymore to dedicate so much time to training – so now for the grand questions….- What are energy levels like on Carb Nite?- Will it effect concentration levels for studying for college exams etc?Brief overview of how I intend to use it: Veggies/Meats Monday-Friday, Carb Nite, likely Saturday, due to time constraints evening training Friday/Saturday/Sunday (Layne Norton phat style workouts) Finally- Am I able to take post workout shakes on days that are not the Carb Nite?- How do you ease out of Carb Nite i.e. if I stopped in late December how would I ease out of it without having dramatic effects?

    1. Great! (If you eat enough fat)2. No. Once you get used to it (after the first week or so), it won't affect anything. The first week you might experience some ketoflu, but again - enough fat will take care of that in most cases. I've studied for, and taken, college exams on CNS. No problem.3. Yes, but without carbs. Use whey isolate, leucine and creatine. (casein and hydrolysate are in there as well if your stomach can stand them. Mine can't 🙁 )4. Just stop. Ideally you would start backloading, but returning to a "normal" diet is fine. You will have some of the effects of CNS for a few days afterwards - down regulated FAS among other things - so the first period shouldn't be dramatic. Your glycogen levels will be restored though, so you will gain some water weight.

Draugluir pretty much hit it on the head. I'm in college on carb nite, and I notice no real difference in energy or mood. In fact I feel more focused. n = 1 of course.

Thank you - Answered my answered like a true boss. For 150+ Pound individuals it seems he recommends 100G Fat, 150G+ Protein. I will be eating pretty healthily now thinking about it, but I will have to eat a heck of a lot - it will basically be a Paleo Diet for the week, and 1 night with carbs. Time to butter up that bacon.... -__- Do excess eggs make a difference on Non-Carb Nites? Or are insulin spikes irrelevant here? And thanks again, will do a 2 Month Cycle till November/December. Then Exams. Then resume again in February till March ideally. Which would total up to around 5 Carb Nite Months out of 7 months. I won't backload and most likely won't train during the 2 off months.
