Likewise, Poliquin's article has no evidence to back his claim:  'stay away from milk proteins because they are particularly “insulinotropic,” which means that they will cause persistently high insulin levels. This puts you at greater risk of insulin resistance and diabetes.' BRB throwing away all my whey and casein. Generally Poliquin's awesome, but not here. Here's a great article about whey, milk and insulin. With science!http://weightology.net/weightologyweekly/?page_id=536

I wonder if their is something more to it though, b/c poliquin is a huge Whey protein advocate for post workout as well.

Supposedly chocolate milk, with the extra sugar is a great post-workout drink. For the same reasons it would also be good for back-loading. However, if you're like me, milk causes some gas and a stuffy nose if I drink a lot of it so I try to stay away from the stuff.

MMMM....you could fit it into your allowance, but me and I think most on here would say to stay away from it. Thats up to you though, personally id leave it for backloads and carbnites.

That is unless you use Calorie Countdown Chocolate Milk, which is specifically used in Carb Nite and is very low carb. I've had a few jugs of this already and the taste is pretty good.
