jrussoMemberHow much protein is there in an egg white? Also, if I am 130lbs does that mean that I should aim for 130:130 F/P ratio? Please advise. I have been tracking my food intake and my fat is always higher than my protein intake…

Brandon D ChristParticipantAn egg white from a large egg has about 4 g of protein. Typically the egg white has 2/3 of the protein of the egg.

Eric ShawMemberPersonally I feel, unless you are very lean, i.e. sub 15% for a woman, you should base your protein intake on your LBM. This will put you in a slight deficit on your ULC days. When I was eating protein at my total bodyweight after being told to do so, I found I stalled. When i went back down to LBM I started losing again this put back in a daily caloric deficit.The reason CNS is not considered a typical deficit or low-calorie diet is because of the Carbnite. In my opinion you should run a slight deficit on your CNS days, but you will find that if done correctly after your carbnite you will be at or slightly above your mantainence if averaged out for the week. Where you would stall is if you went WAY over on either your carb nite or ULC days thus putting you into a caloric surplus for the week, or if you went way under where at the 7 day mark you were still way under your maintaince calories. The magic happens because on carbnite if done correctly you can actually over eat and still burn fat, and also increase your metabolism because of the carbs, hence why you can lose weight and still be at or slightly above maintainence for the week. I think where people get confused is where they think they it's ok to eat above maintainence every day, I have yet to believe that you can TRULY eat above maintaince every day all week and still lose fat just because you are no carb.
