Hello everyone. I'm Caleb and I just started on my way yesterday with the preparation phase.I've gotten seriously into barbell training the last few years and will be doing my first powerlifting meet next weekend. Because of this I am a big dude, 6'3", ~255# by this last summer. My wife and I decided to try the slow-carb diet for a month just to see what happened and we both loved it. I felt better than I ever had before and I lost roughly 15#, leaned out quite a bit and increased my training weights all around. I've been convinced of the benefits of manipulating hormones for fat loss and muscle gain ever since. Fast forward to now, and I've kept most of the weight off (hovering between 240-245#). However, I've been looking towards eating more for performance and CBL seems to fit my lifestyle and goals. I plan on doing the strength accumulation protocol for a month or two to lean out a bit more. I'm not looking for razor abs, just for my pants to fit better. After that, it's on to density bulking and preparation for whatever PL meet I sign up for in the spring. My scale weight doesn't matter to me (other than making my weight class), I'm obsessed with becoming a monster. I will post back here after next Saturday with my totals. Otherwise, I look forward to sharing recipes with everyone; aside from barbell training, cooking is my next favorite hobby. Also, I will try to keep regular posts in the log section of my eating and training. That's all for now. Thanks for reading and good luck to all of you!
