Wondering if anyone knows any drawbacks or negatives of MCT in powder form over getting it from the Oil?http://www.truenutrition.com/p-959-mct-medium-chain-triglyceride-powder-1lb.aspxThis would work out great for the Ignition formula if combined with the Isolate and Creatine in a pre-mix - in the correct ratios of course - to just carry and then scoop into your coffee...Thoughts?

A fat in powder form sounds engineered to shit, literally.  It's suppose to jiggle, not fly away in the wind.

either way like stated before it has carbs, you have to watch a lot of different sources, like Twin Labs has MCT fuel and that has carbs in it too. Go with something like NOW foods MCT oil

Thanks for pointing it out.  I didn't event bother to read the ingredients assuming it was all MCT.  I did the mix function and saw that it is actually (almost) EQUAL parts fat & CARBS!!!  it comes out to 16 MCT/14 Carb… Crazy!  In re: the 'supposed to jiggle' argument, when you consider that Whey and/or Casein protein started out in a different sate (milk = liquid) vs the powdered form we ingest postworkout, etc., it doesn't seem unreasonable.  That is, unless one applies that philosophy across the board, then more power to you.  Sorry, just can't do it without my BlendH PoWO.My aim here was just trying to avoid lugging around the glass MCT bottle on the go - that ALWAYS seems to develop a leak around the cap  (I do actually use the NOW currently) plus keeping track of the measuring spoons, etc.  Not complaining, just saw a potential fix and asked.  Glad I did, as it turns out. Thanks to everyone for his/her response!

Where exactly are you lugging the MCT bottle around? Buy one for home and one for work. If you absolutely have to carry something why not try Coconut Oil since its going to stay more solid.

I have to travel between locations frequently and this requires some long hours on the road heading out at 0-dark-thirty.  Your suggestion is a very good one for the winter months, to use the solid coconut oil.  South Texas summer may foil that one once we swing the seasons back the other way, but I can cross that bridge when it comes round. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Another option may be that you get a thermos for coffee and add the MCTs youll need to that before you leave the house.

I think we have a winner!  Never thought of mixing up more than a serving at a time.  Brings back memories of my mom forcing me to carry a thermos of soup to school for lunch… not only un-cool, but also dangerous as this was back in the days when a thermos had a thick glass insert for the insulation that pretty much shattered/broke apart into giant shards if you dropped it.  Which I did.  Often. Thanks again!

And if you are worried about weight it wouldnt have to be full of hot water. Could always make super strong coffees add the mct and then get hot water to add elsewhere.
