this guy has been trolling for days

Okay, I'm on quite a few different forums and I'm not sure some of you know what a troll is. If you think what I'm doing is trolling then you are in for a surprise when you see a real one.

That makes sense. Ever tried adding Udo's Choice Oil?

It's crap. What did you miss about "eat lots of animal fats, avoid plant fats"? Udo's stuff is ONLY plant fats,  and you don't want to add Omega-6 and Omega-9's to your diet. If you take a fat supplement, take fish oil, if you think you don't get enough fat from that, take more fish oil. If that still does not get you high enough, consider eating salmon.

True, it is made from plant sources. It contains a 2:1 ratio of Omega-3's to Omega-6 & 9's. I am aware of the dangers of Omega-6 and 9 FA's. However, you don't want to completely remove them from your diet either. You just don't want to consume too many as well as not enough Omega-3's. I'm sorry, I'm not convinced that you want to avoid or completely eliminate plant sources for any essential FA's. I'm not a mindless drone who religiously follows the teachings of someone who wrote a few books without putting a little bit of my own thoughts in as well. Kiefer is very smart and I like his views but there are a lot of other very smart people too that have valid points on this particular subject as well. This area of avoiding or not avoiding plant sources for FA's isn't a make or break topic that is critical to CBL working. If I'm not mistaken CBL doesn't say much, if anything, about eliminating plant sources for FA's either. Please don't misinterpret me either, I'm also not saying you want to get ALL your FA's from just one source. I think once you limit yourself nutritionally you are doing just that...limiting your body. You should diversify the sources of your fats as much as possible. Each one has its own benefits the other may not. I do supplement with some fish oils but I also use coconut oil, red palm oil and Udo's Oil (my substitute for cutting out EVOO...see I do consider things you guys say). Then whatever I also get from beef and eggs as well. This is the same reasoning as why you should get your protein from a wide variety of sources. It's by no means an essential thing to do but it does offer you the benefits of a more diverse spectrum of amino acids as opposed to only the same sources all the time. Variety is the spice of life for a reason. But hey, sticking to the same things won't kill you either so to each their own.Just don't get you panties in a bunch when someone says something you personally don't agree with. This isn't going against the principles of CBL or CNS. It's not outright wrong. It's just something you wouldn't do so recognize the difference.

I think what you are doing is just fine. Are you using the Udo's oil for cooking, or like drizzle on stuff? This is why I tell people make the bulk of your fat animal, you get plenty of monounsaturated FA as well as saturated fat, and then use nuts and seeds and plant fats for more side dishes or finishers. I love me some avocado so if I can get some good ones that don't break the bank you better believe I'll be eating them.

The point is, you get already plenty of omega-6 and 9 with your diet, there is not need to articifially increase them. IF you want to increase any fatty acid, increase omega-3.Too bad you don't agree with Kiefer. I also don't follow blindly, but at some point you maybe have to trust the system, try it and see what it makes, instead of doing your own stuff. Kiefer has given his reasons for eliminating plant fats a number of times, they are easy to store and hard to get rid of once stored, omega-6 increase inflammation and so on.

I always just add an oil to what is already cooked. I don't get a ton of animal fat since most my protein comes from chicken breast or fish (whiteing...don't like salmon). The fattiest thing is whole omega-3 eggs. I'll have lean beef or bison maybe 2x a week so not really anything consistent. When I cook with anything its usually coconut oil or red palm oil as those have high smoke points.

The only thing I would recommend is adding grass-fed beef and butter. Grass-fed beef is one of the healthiest foods you can eat.

He also recommends lots of caffeine which will also cause inflammation. I've never seen or read anything that plant sources like flax, evening primrose, etc are easily stored and hard for the body to use. Yes, I agree plant sources excessively high in Omega-6's like corn oil and other "dead" and man made hydrogenated oils are bad. It's not the source of fat really though its that chemical structure that determines if its easily stored and used. Hydrogenated Oils are very long and complex which makes it hard for the body to process.
