I'm currently on Day 5 of the preparation phase of CBL.  I have a huge jug of MRM Metabolic Whey which is whey concentrate.  Would this be fine to use in place of whey isolate to use during the ULC portion of the day and to use post-workout.  I'm currently in medical school in class most of the day so one of my meals during the day has been a protein shake in water with a bunch of almonds eaten before hand thinking the fat could help resist an insulin spike from the whey concentrate.  I've also only been taking 10g of the whey concentrate at a time besides post-workout.  I don't have money to blow on different types of protein so I want to run through this container of whey before switching to isolates and hydrolyzed whey.  Lastly, when I do run out of this batch of protein what is the cheapest isolate and hydrolyzed whey that I can buy and where can I find it?  Thank you to anyone for help with this.

You can use concentrate in place for isolate in a PWO Shake ONLY, not to use whey at all during an ULC part of the day.

I think you are fine with the WPC for now. How ever I would recommend putting 15ml of MTC oil or C-oil with the shake instead of the almonds. Almonds can spike insulin and are primarily omega 6 fats. If you were to use nuts I would stick with Macadamia, but they are a bit more pricier. To order your protein in the future you can to to Truenutrition.com (west coast) or Proteinfactory.com (east coast) they are unrelated to each other, depending on where you life the shipping is faster from vs. the other. Kiefer likes PF, a lot of members like TN, I think they are  both good.

MRM Metabolic Whey is crap, but it tastes good. It has lower protein content and higher fat in comparison to other wheys. l-609492720504.jpgoptimum-nutrition-whey-gold-standard-5lb-3168-p.jpg

I understand MRM isn't the best protein but once again I'm broke in medical school and not trying to blow money on supplements.  There's no way drinking isolate instead of whey concentrate is going to make much of a difference.  And I've been reading that nuts are fine during the ULC except for cashews.

Just get a better concentrate? I never said buy isolate. There are tons of better concentrates out there.

I just don't understand how WPC can spike insulin more than isolate when WPC is digested slower than isolate.  Can anyone explain that.
