Hello! My name is Ali, and I just joined/read most of the CBL book, and I have a question: I'm just an average woman in her thirties with three kids wanting to lose 25 lbs and be healthy. I bought the ebook thinking it was a promising new weight loss plan, but after reading it and perusing this forum I'm thinking I shouldn't be here? Did I buy into something meant for more serious athletes, or is this something I can use to lose weight and keep my average woman persona? Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Welcome! Now the CBL book is honestly geared for those who lift and seek performance. Fat loss and weight loss is completely different. CBL can help achieve fat loss while building up muscle. Do you lift heavy? Or just needing to lose the weight? If the second, I would opt for Carb Nite Solution. That protocol is more along the lines for rapid fat loss, and if needing a lot to lose then will most likely lead to weight loss as well.

If you lift weights, and I mean really lift weight, then you can do CBL. I mean, you could do it either way, but it's harder and you really have to watch calories closer. CNS would be better for the average person who doesn't train, you can easily lose fat without working out at all and once you get to your goal you can add 1-2 carb nites a week providing you don't go crazy with them and easily maintain.

Thank you so much. Currently I don't lift at all, so I will check out CNS.
