Igor VidovicParticipantI am wondering what everyone would recommend as far as a good fitness and nutrition based magazine. I am gong to sign a yearly subscription as soon as I figure out which one. Right now I'm thinking either m&f flex or power. Thanks for your input

I sub to FLEX, M&F, Reps!, MuscleMag (got it free), Iron Man and Planet Muscle. My favorites are in bold, and Keifer writes for FLEX. I used to sub to MD, but found I'd rather buy the issues I want off the shelves. I also shelf-buy Status Fitness, which is excellent in quality and material.Cory

Brandon D ChristParticipantI think all the mags suck, especially when you compare them to the info you can get online (which is much better) for free. I am currently subscribed to M&F, but I haven't read any of the issues since the June issue. I think they aren't a bad way to introduce people to training, but other than that, they are useless.

+1When I was in high school and just starting out before the internet was even around they literally were what taught me how to train. But as Bob said, with the internet and also with me being older I realize most of the stuff is recycled fluff with lots of filler to fill pages.Besides that, I stopped buying the magazines after I talked to several very well known pro body builders years ago who I won't name. They all said that 99% of the articles are ghost written and the routines are made up by the ghost writers along with the diets. Oh and all the weights in the photos are styrofoam movie props. lol

That's what it all boils down to 😀When you embrace the fact that you won't actually learn anything from reading the magazines, it can be fun to flip through the pages though
