NaturalKiKeymasterHello! I'm a 24 year old working student. I've been using leangains-style IF and calisthenics and over the past 6 months have reduced my body fat from about 30% to 15-17%, I'm currently at 70kg. My main goal is to get bigger and stronger, hopefully put on at least 5kg of muscle before my school/work schedule gets out of hand next year, so I'm doing a beginner's SS type program 3 days a week plus a day for sprints. I feel alright with my current body fat since for the first time in my life I have visible abs (and people take notice!), but I eventually also want to reach <12% body fat.I learned about ketogenic diets and dangerouslyhardcore, and having a background in health sciences I was immediately interested in gaining maximum muscle without gaining fat. I've been reading a lot about CBL and CNS and really want to try them out.Which do you think is better for my goals? CNS or CBL? And what are your recommendations for total weightlifting noobs? Thanks!

systemfMemberNaturalKi I would recommend going the CBL route if you want maximum muscle gains then DB or SA depends how fast you want to put on the lbs. As for the 12% I would try CNS or a hybrid of CBL and CNS, since CNS is primarily for losing BF. Now its up to you to decide. Since you want to reach 12% BF I would do CNS and get to the desired BF% and then switch to CBL. Also I remember reading somewhere that losing BF% sometimes makes you look bigger. Hope this helps.

since you stated you have an interest in gaining muscle and still dropping some BF i would say. CBL Strength Accum. because it will provide you will the ability to gain muscle mass and easily maintain BF % and with some tweaking you can drop the BF down to your liking. I always recommend CBL SA before DB because a lot of people need time to figure out there body, and backloading 7 days a week can easily get you bloated and fat, if you are inexperienced. CNS is great for pure weight loss, but not geared around muscle building or strength building (even though some of us have elicited strength gains) due too restricted carbs and ability to recover fully. However, when you reach low bf% like 10% you might need to run a modified CNS to maintain bf levels... but that's down the road. Cheers

NaturalKiGuestAwesome, thank you systemf and BigR for the advice!Based on your suggestions, I will go CBL and aim for maximum strength and mass gains for now.Two more questions, if SA is strength accumulation, what does DB mean? Also, I'm about 150lbs, what's the recommended amount of protein I should be eating? I've been shooting for 100-120g a day, is that enough?

DB = Density bulk - I.e. backload 7 days a week!Well regardless of whether you are novice/intermediate @ 150 Lbs i would at least consume 150g-170g - This will be fairly easy with the help of a protein powder. I would aim for at least 100g between your PWO shake and your backload for muscle building purposes!
