Gl;itch.eMemberYou know I was actually thinking about earthing. I have been earthing pretty much every night for the past year.I have noticed:1. Better Sleep.2. Cortisol levels seem normal now. I have pretty good cortisol levels when I wake up and they are very low at night so I can sleep. I don't have test/measurements or anything, I just have a much easier time waking up and going to sleep. I used to be one of those people that always felt like sluggish and tired in the morning and wound up at night.3. Increased recovery from workouts.4. Less stress and anxiety. Most of these results aren't much of a surprise as studies have shown improvements in these areas. ANd of course I am sure they are all inter-related. Supposedly earthing has a strong anti-inflammatory effect, but that has never been a problem with me, so I can't really say anything about that.I'd recommend it.
Cool. So what products have you used? I was thinking of just trying a strap to earth with until Ive determined its usefulness. Then perhaps the more expensive sheet option might be employed. Also do you earth at any other times or just sleep?

I just use the half sheet. As of now I only earth when I sleep and the hour or two before bed when I am laying down reading or watching a movie. The benefits I am seeking of earthing really only come from earthing while asleep. Earthing 24/7 seems to only benefit people with major inflammation issues, such as those with arthritis. To my knowledge you can earth yourself by just wrapping a wire around yourself at one end and wrap the other end around a grounded conductive rod. Supposedly, directly connecting yourself to the earth is superior to using the ground on your outlet, but if that is your only option that will work too. Of course you can always ground like humanity did for it's entire existence, by just walking around barefoot.

yeah come summer I do plan on more of that. But it would be good to have something for the colder times. I could definately do with a switching up on cortisol rhythms. Did you see any body comp changes in that time you could point to cortisol being a factor in? less fat round the waist etc?

Brandon D ChristParticipantI never really controlled for diet so I can't really say anything in regards to that. I am leaner this year compared to last year though. Here is a documentary on earthing: http://earthingcanada.ca/grounded-documentary/?utm_source=Earthing+Contacts&utm_campaign=b85180dc33-Earthing_documentary10_21_2013&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_1d97beb25d-b85180dc33-59067857 If you can deal with the hippy-esque undertones of the movie, it is actually a rather informative film. Includes some good testimonials and some explanations.
