High weight low reps?

    So when the book says high weight low reps what are we talking?80% of max 3x5, 3x3, or 8x8or60% of max 8x3, 8x5or80% of max x3 then 60% of max x5 than 40% of max x8I'm still a little unclearI am looking to do a combo of CNS and CBL SAI'm down 50lbs because of CNS but the drop has stalled out and I am stuck at 210-215lbs 5'11" 30 year old male.I would like to get down to 180lbs.

    70-90% of 1rm I believe is what he means. Sets of 3-8 for the big exercises

    Sorry for the add on question but will in end up eating into muscle if i do CNS and heavy lifting to try and trim fat?

    12 reps or less will do.

    I don't think I'm strong enough to throw up 70-90% of my 1 rep max 8-12 times Ill shoot for it.

    You should be able to get 70% of your max for 12 reps for most exercises, maybe not squats or deadlifts, but certainly on assistance work.

    *Update* upon further review (at the gym last night) I can defiantly do  70% or more of max 12 times.
