RussiBKeymasterHey boys & girls,Like many I have an office job, which means I don't have the luxury of being able to cook meals for lunch and often have to prepare something at work or cook at home and then take something into the office. This is restricting and makes it difficult for me to get decent meals at lunch.Often I 'revert' to chicken salad, especially if I haven't been able to prepare something or am working and staying away from home but want to cut out using salad dressings made with vegetable oil. I thought I could use coconut cream as a base for a salad dressing but these are often subjected to ultra-high temperature treatments - does this effect the balance of the coconut fat?If anyone has any recommendations for getting fat in at lunchtime (remember I can't cook at work) I'd appreciate the input. I've cut dairy from my diet now so cheese is out 🙁ThanksRuss

TokyoLifterMemberWhy does cooking at home and taking it to the office make it difficult to get decent lunch at work?I get up in the morning at 6 and cook my lunch for the day, every day (except weekends).Where exactly do you see the problem?

Richard SchmittModeratorExactly what I do as well. I make extras than what I plan to eat that day just so I can store it and take it with me whenever needed. If anything take some coconut oil with you in a ziploc bag and pour over that chicken salad

Because I leave the house at 6am, drive to the gym at work, start work at 8am then work 10-12 hour days 5 days a week mate. I'm often not even home before 8pm so if I go shopping that's 9pm. Ideally yes I would cook more than I need to, but right now I have days when I genuinely struggle and would like to know if I am not able to cook the night before that I have some options.

Richard SchmittModeratorBeef jerky and unflavored pork rinds are a great go-to if needed. Uhm…not sure exactly where you are but sometimes if you can find a place that has beef or can replace chicken for a beef salad.

Hey man, Instead of cooking everyday I just cook 5 pound of ground beef on sunday and 5 cups of green beans and divide it up in into 5 1 pound portions and I have food for the week!! Im the same as you, I am too damn lazy to cook in the morning before work or school so this is what I have been doing for the last couple weeks.

Agreed,Its easy for me because after coming from my last BB style diet where I was eating 6-7 meals a day, packing 4-5 meals to work/school everyday is much shittier than 1 lol I love CBL/CN

Haha, I hear you, come from the same background. Now I only take my lunchbox and that's it, and it's also way smaller than before.... love the fat.

MikehrMemberhaha yup I usually am able to get my first meal in at home then one meal at work straight to the gym and home its great! Oh god I remember at one point cleaning dozens of tupperwares each week, to the point where my hand permanently smelt like palmolive... truly dark times...
