BenjaminDMemberHaha I know man Im boring like that, the way I see it i ever wanted to add anything to chocolate or vanilla its easy but not many foods go with orange creamiscle or coconut banana! Haha
That's very true but I just don't think I could pass up trying the cinnamon bun flavour or something like that. I tried the chocolate peanut butter and chocolate coconut before and those were pretty tasty.
Yeah those do taste good! Which type of protein did you buy? just WPI?
If I recall correctly, I got a blend of about 70% isolate and 30% casein. I ordered a few mixes with different combinations of isolates and caseins but the ratios remained the same. I generally try to vary the flavours, sources, combinations of protein, etc. every couple months to avoid developing an allergy and getting physically ill at the sight of a certain brand. Basically after every 5lbs of protein I will try something else.

I have never had a problem either, it's more of a precautionary type of thing. I think I recall reading John Meadows or Shelby Starnes (perhaps both) mention rotating powdered protein sources and I definitely recall Dave Tate (via John Berardi) recommend cycling whole food proteins and the style in which you prepare them (i.e. scrambled eggs, fried eggs, hard-boiled, etc.).It might be bro-science but it seems like good practice to avoid having the exact same things every single day.

Jonathan WhalenParticipantFinally had a chance to look at the sites. When you factor in taxes and shipping, it doesn't really appear to be any cheaper than buying at Popeye's in town. Might save $10 online. That's the Dymatize Whey ISO-1000. The Canadian Protein bulk (5lbs) was $89 tax+shipping inc. Popeye's sells the first 5lbs @ $89, second @ $69.Good to know. Thanks!

KenSanderParticipantJust seeing this thread now.I always order custom blend protein from TrueNutrition since I can't get it elsewhere but for other stuff like fish oil, waxy maize, leucine etc, I order from Canadian sites as I run out of those things at different times, and the free shipping helps.I've ordered from both CP and ProteinCo and both are good, but ProteinCo I've found is a lot better quality. If you use the coupon code 20PC on ProteinCo you'll save 20%. It helps bring costs more in line since they're a lot more expensive than CanadianProtein.

A normal price for protein in Canada is about $10/lb. If you get the bulk whey from Canada Protein then you can get it to around $7 something/lb. Of course if a store has a sale then pay attention. I use $10/lb as my rule of thumb though.RB
