I had been low carb for years and  ULC/ Keto for 3 – 4 months before I ran across CNS in other words I had an extralong prep phase . Doing ULC that long I lost weight at first but I was ready for something new due to stagnant results in the gym  and CNS fixed  that. But I wonder if my situation of a long prep is the reason for slow to poor results of fat loss? I am in week 5 of CNS and could eat this way standing on my head. 20% body fat ,5'7'' 185-190 lbs 49 year old male. I could just be impatient . Thanks

It could very well be.You might have caused some metabolic damage with such a long keto diet without regular re-feeds.

I'll let you know..I was ULC for a long long time before starting CNS and I still did a prep period even thou I know I could of bad a CN the first day. LolAnyways I just had my first true CarbNite and I'm up 13 pounds from Saturday morning. I don't see it being a problem but time will tell.

Hmm. Apparently extended periods of low carb can result in issues with thyroid & hunger hormones (leptin) meaning there might be issues with your metabolism :/The weekly refeeds should help. Or, you may want to experiment with CBL DB for a few weeks. Worst case scenario you'll improve leptin levels (by gaining fat 😉 )
