AdamFiddlerKeymasterI woke up today to find a very slight but noticeable sporadic tingling sensation in my toes and the balls of my feet. Has anybody else dealt with anything similar? This is the first I've ever noticed of anything like this but want to take care of it right away. The only thing I did differently yesterday was snatch-grip deadlift and Klokov presses (strict, behind the neck snatch-grip press). There is absolutely no pain or weakness associated with the sciatic nerve or any other part of my body. I have no idea if this is neuropathy or more to do with the plantar fascia. Looking for help from any experienced lifters or people with some kind of academic/practical experience in what may be causing this. Thanks

FairyGuestI've had a similar thing in my fingers either when I've been messing around with stims or when I've trained crazy hard. No doubt it's a nerve issue of some sort. If it doesn't reoccur I wouldn't worry about it 🙂

From the little reading I've done, the symptoms associated with carpal tunnel have drastically different causes than peripheral neuropathy in the feet.
No doubt it's a nerve issue of some sort.
There is plenty of doubt. The tingling I'm describing is also associated with plantar fasciitis and a few other things. Even if you do chalk it up to a nerve issue, you would want to distinguish if it was sensory or motor.

Ha, the generous interpretation of that advice would be that you just don't like me and are trying to get me hurt. ;D

FairyGuestWell. You could always check into the emergency room and tell them that you think you're having a stroke.

Cory McCarthyMemberI had tingling up my wrist and through my pinky / ring finger on my left hand recently. It is a little better now, but was much worse. No numbness, just the paresthesia (pins and needles)… and would flare up in a hot shower.I went to the doctor, and it turns out I pinched my ulnar nerve. I have to be careful with overhead movements (for now), so I don't overstretch the nerve @ the shoulder region, until it is healed.Be sure to take extra Vitamin B12, as that vitamin nourishes your nervous system.Likely, you are simply suffering some nerve impingement (most common cause). I'd still suggest seeing a doctor, b/c nerve issues can also be an early sign of diabetes, stroke, heart attack and multiple sclerosis. Does any of that run in your family?Cory

AdamFiddlerGuestThanks Cory, yeah that was scary as fuck. The only thing it coincided with was dropping the bar on the back of my neck like a dumbass doing Klokov presses for the first time, so I took those and all overhead movements out for now and have just gone back to squatting every day, although about to start Smolov so that's only 4x/week technically. Anyways, I do appreciate the info. Sincerely,AF
