mooselorooseKeymasterSo I've been doing CNS for about 3 weeks switching from CBL. I wanna be sub 10% by March. So far in 3 weeks I lost 5% bodyfat and my weight has stayed at 200. The bf measurements arent 100%. I'm using skinfold calipers as a guage. Started around 20% bf give or take. Now I am 15% give or take. My bf seems to be stalling a little in the past week. I get in around 250grams of protein a day. And around 150grams of fat. I am very active. Im a personal trainer. I have alot of clients and often stand for 8+ hours a day training aside from any training I do myself. Do you think I should bump up the protein and fat intake??

Fernando AguilarParticipantI am new at this too but i have listen Kiefer talk about staling points when you are trimming down and that they happen for no particular reason. It´s like a transition point for you body… So like i said i am not an expert but i would wait a little longer before i change any thing in my diet. 🙂

How many Carb Nites are you doing in a week? If only one, you may try having CN every 5th....check out pg 41 of CNS

Alan TorellMemberI wouldn't think increasing either fat or protein would do the trick. You might actually decrease both a bit… at 200#, 250 g/day protein is plenty and might be helpful to drop the fat to 0.5 g fat/1.0 g protein. That's the typical starting prescription for CNS and also the direction you would go to lean out on CBL too.

samuel r walkerParticipant5% in 3 weeks does not sound right…That being said, your macros look alright, try bumping the fat up closer to 200 and see where that takes u.. If that doesnt work u may need to bring it down in small intervals each week to see if progress picks back up. I always did 1:1 for roughly 4 1/2 months but recently had to drop the fat to keep progress going. Had no affect on my energy levels considering i switched from grain to grass fed beef and butter

mooselorooseGuestI'm gonna plan on incorporating more CNites when I get to 10% bodyfat… And I'll drop my fat down a little and see if that helps… Thanks

mooselorooseGuestI'm sure my BF percentage isn't 100% accurate (as I don't have a dunk tank available) but on the same Site measurements I def lost 5% in 3 weeks. BF% losses fluctuate from person-to-person and being that I started at a relatively high %. It doesn't seem illogical to lose 5% in 3 weeks. It will slow as I lose more. That I understand.

John LaPlaca JrMemberI would increase the fat if I were you or do a 1:1 ratio to your ideal body weight. A lot of people don't count macro's and have great success. I think some people fear fat too much on this forum and without the fat you're not going to get the hormone output needed on this diet.

mooselorooseGuestYeah I def don't fear fat. Some days I would go over and end up with like 200grams…I sort of adjust it to how I feel during the week with training. If I'm tired and lethargic, I tend to eat more fat.
