Hi,Since I'm about ready to start a blog, it seemed appropriate to introduce myself.I'm 30 years old.  I weigh around 250 lbs and am 5"10' in height. For as long as I can remember (At least 15 years) I have been battling with being overweight and tried and failed a number of diets along the way.  I'd go through stages where I would be dieting (what I thought was) hardcore but then hitting the wall and giving up.There's only so much one can go though (of anything) before they reach the mindset of "no matter what."  I have had a gym membership for the last year or so and actively go.  I used to just go and do treadmill and Cardio.  I guess you could say I turned up for appearances sake since i wasn't really making any real progress.About 3 months ago I got a trainer and so far have lost about 20 or so lbs and retained and gained muscle.  I was sticking to the "meal plan" as much as I could but there were times where it wouldn't be enough and it would cause me to stray from it.  As a result my weight would fluctuate up and down every week but never lesser than the low point before fluctuation.  This has been the case for the last month.  I don't hold my trainer responsible for me hitting the wall again. After beating myself up about why things weren't changing I began looking for answers.  I did the usual health check and everything was normalTaking my quest for answers to the internet, there are only so many dead ends you can come across before you find what seems to be the way out.So here I am.I bought CNS after about an hour of forum reading, and read it the same day.  The thing that I liked the most about the CNS book is how much of it I can relate to.  My questions were starting to become answered and the more I dived into the science and the understanding of how everything works the more convinced I was that everything I've been told, every diet I've tried, every piece of marketing; ITS ALL BULLSHIT!!!!!I am one of those people who understands what they do and why they do it.  As I am writing this, I have not started CNS.  I have however read the book at least half a dozen times, read through the forums as much as I can - Tex, you don't know me but your posts have really helped with my planning and knowledge.  Oh and Fairy, you had me in tears of laughter in the "You know you're on CNS when..." thread.  That should really be a sticky.  If you are reading this and haven't read the thread, its here: http://dangerouslyhardcore.com/forum/index.php?topic=3306.0Did I just derail my own thread? For someone who works in IT, I'm pretty good in the kitchen so as part of my preparation I have already prepared my CNS beginning (starting in 2 days):Protein/Fat/CarbBrownies 6/19/2Bread 3.5/7.3/2.9Bounty 1.7/19.51/6.54etcThe meal plan which I have developed is only for a day, but I am happy to eat the same thing each day.  A combination of being lazy and content at the same time.  I mean the only thing better than bacon is eating it every day with every meal!!!I have been talking to my trainer about CNS with the diet plan etc and he is very opened minded to it all.  I think I'm lucky in this regard, as I find with people in general the war on nutrition is so fucked up that once someone has the mindset on what they think is good nutrition they will dismiss anything and everything. My Gym activity (as of now) is as follows:  60 min sessionsMonday: HIIT Cardio.Tuesday: Upper body.Wednesday: HIIT Cardio.Thursday: Lower Body.Friday: Nothing.Saturday: Upper body.  Carb night.Sunday: Moderate/HIIT Cardio.Without experiencing CNS first hand, I already believe in it and have a great expectation that it is the answer I have been seeking so long to find.-J

Welcome sir and glad to have you here! We've all been there, doing countless hours of cardio, eating a certain multiple meal plan, etc. You did exactly what most of us have done, search for a better way to be healthy and a better way for performance. You made a better step in that direction! Looking forward to seeing future progress! Oh and glad we were able to help you get started!
