Well, here I sit in the midst of a beloved CN and figured it's as good a time as any to make my first post!I can't believe I never came across Kiefer's CBL and CNS before this year!  I was finally connected to it from a Robb Wolf post on Facebook in January.  And immediately I'm hooked.I spent a weekend in January dropping everything on my plate to read the CNS eBook, as well as just about every single post on the Forum (seriously), and then I listened to all of the BioJacked podcasts that next week.  I loved everything I was learning, and especially love all the support shown on these Forums.I have a history of Figure competitions (back in 2005, just some low-key local ones), Crossfit (shhhh!), and Paleo.  I actually run some Paleo challenges at local gyms.So I have been around the block with different approaches to nutrition and fitness for leaning out. I can't express how frustrating it became for me to no longer be able to control my own body comp. The trouble came for me a few years ago when I was doing very low-carb Paleo for months (with no back load EVER) while doing Crossfit 6 days a week.  After about a month, I hit major adrenal stress and what I would assume was a total hormonal bust. EEEEK. That was also about when I found out I have a disc tear at L5 and should 'never squat or DL heavy again', which I'm still trying to work around.  btw - I think this is more common than people think, and I am constantly open to exercises and ways to get back to heavier lower body stuff.Add that on top of my history with figure show diets (super low calorie, high carb / low fat, water / sodium manipulation and lots of over training ), and you can probably understand why my body hasn't seemed to work right as of late... 😮Anyway, my deal now is that I'm 5'4", 148lbs, and I'm guessing I'm about 30% BF, but I'm doing it myself w/ calipers.I was doing very low carb in January anyway when I discovered CN, so I went right into the program from there a few weeks ago.  I'm feeling better already, but not seeing any budge on scale or calipers.  I'm not concerned.  It's only been a few weeks, and I expect my body to take a little bit to jump on board.I know people say "don't track calories, just go by satiety", but honestly if I just eat protein and fat when I feel like eating, I end up around 900 cals a day.  WAY too low.  And I fear that my metabolism is quick to stall.  If I do 1g protein and 1/2g fat per Lb of BW, then I still think I'm too low.  And too low to make up for it on CN.  So I'd love any suggestions there.  Maybe I need to cycle cals on my low-carb days, some days at 1200, some 1500, some 1800.  Not sure.My goal is to drop 15+lbs of fat.  Wait - who am I kidding?  I've had that goal for 2 yrs!  At this point, my goal is to break below 140lbs! I'm training hard a few times a week (came into it too late to get a good understanding of Shockwave Ripped - but my goal is to get into that when the new eBook appears), doing HIIT 1-2 days post CN, and getting plenty of sleep.  I am gluten and dairy-free.  I 'think' dairy stalls fat loss for me, and it was backing me up something fierce in January!  I'm doing a 10-12hr fast, starting the day w/ coffee + MCT or Coc Oil + Coc milk (I do decaf, sometimes half-caff - have to be careful w/ my adrenals).  And I eat lots of meat, adding fat where needed.  I've been doing about 125g protein and 100g fat per day.Sorry for blabbing on and on - I am on a major carb high.  Basically if you're still even reading this, you're my new best friend.  😉I'm excited to chat w/ all of you and learn as I go!

Welcome to DH and have you here! Also really glad to see you still working around the bad. I'm sure your knowledge with past shows will greatly benefit the DH community. Now for the low calorie ratio question, that is the lowest you should probably go. Fluctuating calories on a given day can be a good idea. As long as you're getting more than enough protein and fat for energy for the day.

Thanks Tex!And you mean 1200 cals is the lowest I should probably go right?Man, I just weighed myself (morning after a CN), and I can't believe I only gained 0.5lb!  I had at least 250g of Carbs last night.  Would think this week I'd definitely be down 1-2lbs by my next CN.

Probably too low but that's if you don't eat. If you train and you're hungry bump up the meal intake, if you go high one day it won't matter unless its copious amounts of oil
