Added another 30lbs to my squat, that's 50 lbs added to when I found out about my posture. Added an arch to my lower back.. knees out.. don't look 45 degrees up, but 20-30 degrees up.. and kept my chest out. By the end of the squat, I was more tired because of how hard my heart was beating than how tired I was from my body. I think I can definitely add more next time. But the best tip of the squat was using a bench underneath like I did last week.

thezukimanParticipantOkay, today I did squats again.I paid attention to my knees and kept them out, was probably a problem before, but not now.The bench actually worked immensely. I think it was just a mental problem I have about going too low or something, but I was tapping it each time. I check the mirror and by sitting down I'm well past the parallel. Another thing is that I walked away from it without any pain in my back. Maybe if I do it enough times I'll get it down without the bench. On one set, I removed the bench, and I noticed that something is stopping me from going too low, maybe a fear.. I have no idea.Anyways, I was about to improve my squat by 20lbs.
Are you a tall fellow or have long legs relative to your torso? Also, one thing most people do not focus on enough is ankle mobility.Watch This:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2HYv_3ODrkTry these prior to squatting (or) try the squatting style he recommends:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-0Qe80fUaUAlso, I have found that boots or shoes with good ankle support help me immensely. I have to wear my work boots on squat day in order to go below parallel when squatting OL style (ATG).Hope that helps!-Z
