Hey guys,So i'm heading to Hawaii later this week for a bit of a family trip. I've been using CBL for over 18months now, love it, and I'm also pretty serious with my training. Low this is going to be a holiday, I still want to hold my muscle mass (last holiday i lost 4kgs of size!!), and maybe do a session or two while i'm there. SOOO questions:1) Supps - any good stores or whey powders (from grass fed cattle) that I could buy once there? just 500g or so.2) Gyms - I'll be in Honolulu for a week, any good bodybuilding gyms worth training at/checking out3) Food - Any 'must go to' backload food joints (ie an epic donut place etc) Or even good cafes that serve free range/pastured meats & eggs?4) people - Anyone here reside in Hawaii and keen for a training sesh/hows ya father/carb back load etc?5) must do's/see's - the touristy kind!I'm a kiwi living in Sydney, have been to the states a few years back, but first time in Hawaii. Pretty pumped 🙂Cheers

When I went to Hawaii, we had a facility on the grounds, but I admittedly just let myself go for the week. There really is no place like it man, it's paradise... if you ask me, enjoy yourself, let it be a week of rest for your body, and come back hard when you return. I did a good amount of surfing and beach volleyball tho, so no reason you can't at least stay active. If you are looking for a facility while you're there though, just ask some locals - anywhere you have that beach crowd, you'll have guys who go to the gym. And everyone's pretty friendly there, so I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction. As an aside, why the grass fed whey? Just some food for thought, but it seems if you go with a reputable company, you've got nothing to worry about with the standard whey (and its much easier on the wallet - I lived in Oz for a bit, so I know how expensive supps can be).http://www.brinkzone.com/articles/are-there-hormones-in-your-whey/

Sweet thanks for the heads up!Haha I no it may sound wierd, but i kinda want to go to a gym over there, I've planned a week off in my training schedule - no dramas, but i work in a gym, and just love lifting weights. Plus I see all this crazy american gyms online (either the multi floored, 100's of treadmills kinda things - or the pure hardcore, underground type). I haven't experienced anything like that before, so I'd be keen to check it out if theres something around!Cheers for the link, I'll check it out. I grew up in New Zealand, and still consume NZ whey. The amino acid count is generally alot higher. Can't wait to get over there!

You could pack some powder in baggies. When we went to Hawaii we used the gym at the hotel almost every day. My husband and I love going no matter where we are - just sets the mood for the rest of the day.

true true! I'm so used to travelling between Australia and NZ - super strict customs where they don't allow much food/animal products in
