MattBreezyKeymasterHi everyone,I searched and didn't come across anything mentioning this, so here goes:I started CNS 3 weeks ago but after the St Patrick's Weekend binger, I'm going to go back through an induction phase. Whenever this hangover finally passes (I probably drank 10 pitchers of beer on Sunday alone) I want to start working out.Up to this point, I've been taking my pug for a 2 mile walk through some rolling his in the mornings and carrying some weight. I want to keep doing this because I like it and she likes the walks. Now I also want to lift and I have a Beachbody program called BodyBeast and I also have Insanity. From what I gather, It seems like If I go back to having my Carb Nite on Saturdays, it might be good to do Insanity on Sunday and Monday (obviously for glycogen depletion) , take a day off and then Thursday, Friday and Saturday do the BodyBeast program.Anybody that watches cable TV knows what Insanity is.. Bodybeast is an at home lifting program that seems to be a little about muscle confusion and a little about hypertrophy based lifting using dumbbells and an ez curl bar.Why do I want to use these? Well one my job sucks and money isn't great right now (commission) and I have enough weight available to push myself. Also, I have a bad lower back and I am not the least bit interested in doing heavy squats or dead lifts anymore. 30 minutes of all the crazy ass jumping around Shaun T makes you do in Insanity is about all my lower back with tolerate....My stats: 32 years old, 6'0, 275 (I was 300 when I started CNS and yes I know 25lbs in 3 weeks is Fing incredible and I do not expect that to keep going). I played 3rd base in college and was in the 12% bodyfat range at 200lbs so if I could accomplish that again, I'd be beyond satisfied. I do have a couple more questions that I'll try and resolve through searching because I don't necessarily understand how many eggs I can eat at once and not have a leucine spike. a 6 egg omelet breakfast would be fantastic because I don't really have a taste for much else in the morning but if I need to say hard-boiled eggs and eat two with each meal I'll force myself. Also I have switched from the God knows what the ingredients are Coffeemate I used to use to coconut oil in black coffee in the am. Is it ok to add cinnamon to this? I know there's about a carb in a tsp of cinnamon but since it's a sweetener, I am wondering if it can work against me kinda like Splenda etc are known to do.If you're still reading this, you're either extremely bored or just fucking awesome for wanting to help. Thanks everybody and I'm glad to be on the forum

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorSkip insanity. Maybe do plyo the day after a carb nite, but I'd still skip it.I like Body beast, I think it's a good minimalist hypertrophy program, I'll use it again at some point.Anyway, it's super glycogen depleting so you will be good with it. Adding cinnamon to your coffee is fine.

rogersgaGuestI have been doing a max insanity following carb nite and beast throughout the remainder of the week. It works well for me. I also add cinnamon to my bulletproof coffee. More than ever I am noticing my waist drop while pounds stay about the same. That's a good thing to me.

Tony SnowParticipantSo, Bodybeast (5 day split, one day cardio/abs) is not too much volume on CNS?

I say skip the cardio day, but it's less intense then insanity is so I'd say it's a decent option.

Ok. I looked at the program again, and actually, it appears to be a four day split, that repeats on the 7th day and has a day of cardio (at least for the first phase). I am going to tweak the first phase a bit and just make it a four day split with two days of HIIT and do it for 4 weeks instead of 3, then move to the 5 day split in phase 2.
