Prep Phase

    HeyI just downloaded the CBL, read it while I should have been working today, I am wanting to start the prep phase on Monday I will be following the SA protocols, I just have a question and hope someone can help.  I train at 5:00am Monday- Friday, In the book it says to add a small amount of carb after workout for the spike along with the post workout shake would that be true in the prep phase too or after the 10 days are done? can't really find an answer to that in the book. thanks

    My question is a little different. I know I don't eat carbs in the prep but do I increase protein and fat so I get the same calories? Is the 10 days not only carb deficit but also a calorie deficit?

    I think it depends. If you're after maximum fat loss, then drop some calories. If you're after more of a recomp then keep calories similar and just cut carbs.

    Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to lose the fat right now so at least for the 10 day prep I will cut the carbs and let the calories fall where they may.
