RyNo1984KeymasterI wasn't able to find a clear answer for this from searching through the forums. Kiefer says 7AM a lot in reference to waking up, and in the meal plans he gives training times, so would I be right in assuming that the adjusted training times would be something like:Book adjustedtrain 6 >1 hr after waking train 9-10 2-3 hrs after wakingnoon-1 5-6 hrs after waking2 8 hrs after waking4 10 hrs after wakingectWhat would be the ideal amount of time to wait, post waking, to train?

adammbMemberIn my experience outside of CBL I would work out between 30-45 minutes after waking. Since you will only be taking “coffee” in the morning it wont take long for the caffeine to get into your system.

Richard SchmittModeratorI don't think there is an “ideal time” for when you wake up. If you can get up and training within 5 minutes then it should be ok. Normally 30-45minutes for some folks, or up to an 1 hour after waking.

RyNo1984GuestRight, but I meant in the context of the book. From what Kiefer wrote, there's an optimum time, late day training, and then several less optimal but workable options, like morning and mid-day training. I work weird hours, so I was trying to adjust the training times/meal plan to my schedule. In the book the plans are laid out like: “train @7 am,” or “train @ noon” and was trying to figure out what those times would be like adjusted to hours after waking up. So instead of “train @ noon,” it would be “train 5 hours after waking.” I just wanted to know if I was in the ballpark for making those adjustments.

adammbMemberFor example. I work out at 5:30 in the am and go by the earliest schedule. It would most likely be the first available time is your a.m. So 5am-8-am depending on when you wake

UNIPanther043GuestSo if you train at 5:30 and would train for an hour(give or take, just an example), you'd take your post workout with carbs then about half an hour after? And then when are you eating for your first meal of the day?
