SimonisKeymasterThought I should finally do my introduction on here.I am a 30 year old want to be weightlifter. I know this will sound pompous, but I don't like calling it Olympic weightlifting ha ha. Anyway, I am a middle school PE teacher, a football and baseball coach, and finishing my masters in exercise science. I have been eating Paleocene for the most part for the past three years. I had pretty good accuses loosing quite a bit of excess body fat. Around this time last year I started incorporating IF and I had fantastic initial results. I dropped below 10% body fat for the first time since my sophomore year of college (last year I did any sort of training as a wrestler) and my snatch, clean and jerk, and squat numbers all went up while the body weight went down considerably. This was going well for a while, but I found that I would stall out and not be able to train very hard for long periods of time. My strength levels went down, and I found myself having to eat inordinate amounts of food to be able to handle my training loads. The problem with this was that my body fat levels would start to jump back up every time I went away from IF or I would just go off the deep end for a few weeks and put it all back on. I was semi familiar with carb night and carb backloading, and I gave it a half assed pretty uniformed attempt with kind ok results. Now that I have taken the time to get and read CBL, and doing some of my own searching in pubmed, I think I have a pretty strong grasp of how to make this work. I am excited to give this a try and am looking forward to tinkering with the backloading to find what works best for the days I train twice a day. I'm glad I can stick pretty close to paleo as well as that has helped clear up or improve some issues I have had in regards to joint pain, skin, and digestion. So just wanted to intro myself and say hello.
