TracieKeymasterOk so I do have the book and I was fine until I started snooping around here. Now I'm confused. I'm on my 8th day of ULC!!! This is my first time doing this. I've been strict Paleo for 15 months. I'm female. 41 years old. 5'7.5" (have to get that 1/2 inch in) and 175 lbs (was 180 8 days ago). I workout and have been for a while. Lifting mostly. I hate cardio. I have nice muscles (that you can sort of see) buried under a lovely (yeah not) layer of fat. I would like to get to 150 OR just get the fat off so you can actually see my muscles. So I set myself up for 150 fat and 150 protein (1/1). Then I started reading that for fat loss it should be more .75F/1P. Then I read someplace else that fat is more important. See, so I'm confused!!! For fat loss which is it? Next issue is HIIT. Someone told me that you can't really do HIIT on a Stairmaster (the rolling kind that looks like an escalator). I don't see why you can't. Isn't the point of HIIT to jack your heart rate up HIGH then bring it back down to a LOW? I see people posting that they're doing HITT on their CN. Is that after the 1st 10 days? Like when I have this diet (hate to use that word) down pat? I can see doing it after the CN but on the day of CN is making me wonder. IF. Ok I heard this is HORRIBLE for women. That it totally messes up their hormones. Is this true? I'm already 41 and I'm sure I'm treading on thin ice with the hormones, I don't want to screw them up. My macros on MFP I logged for the past 8 days and added everything and divided by 8 and this is what I have. 10 net carbs a day (is that to low? I know not to go over 30, but damn 10? seems low) 136Fat and 136Protein. I'm having a hard time with getting 150 grams of protein in. Fat doesn't seem to be a problem if I'm not really supposta be shooting for 150. Ok so I think I'm done babbling! Any help is super appreciated! I hope I made sense! Thanks so muchTracie

victor w smallParticipantSaw a tubecast recently of Kiefer stating that it is virtually impossible to gain body fat from dietary protein because of the way the body deals with amino acids ( protein is made up of different amino acids ). I'll leave the other questions for others to answer.
