tibretMemberSo I did CBL in the past and it worked fine. This summer I tried to shred the fat whilst using the anabolic diet (cyclical keto). It worked pretty well but after a while I got a bit off track and. Muscle mass is good this summer, and bodyfat around 10 percent. Now I want to use CBL again but doing it right this time...especially to get under 10 percent of Bodyfat.I consulted my own foodlogs and did a bit of math and found some problems where I need your help to solve.First thing is that I have problems eating enough stuff and have a hard time geting enough protein on Back load days!Do you guys have 2 or 3 meals a day? It is fairly hard for me, I mostly do 2 because of time issues. How to get more calories in the ULC part of the day? How do you guys get Protein into your backload? Most of the "junk"food like waffles or cookies don´t have much protein. Next Problem is that I have Dinner with my girlfriend and she is vegetarian, so it is even harder to get protein in during the backload.I thought cheese may be an option but it has to much fat and this is bad for the first meal of the backload.Hope you can give me some recomendations and tips!

It is fairly hard for me, I mostly do 2 because of time issues. I eat a few hours after I wake up on days I workout. I am normally really hungry those days, especially the day after a workout and if I am working out in the afternoon. Otherwise I have one of the AM accelarator shakes. How to get more calories in the ULC part of the day? I would say as long as you do the 12 hour fast from your last meal have smaller meals in the morning. That way you are getting the protein and fat in and your not eating so much at once. If you only have time for 1 or 2 meals just break it down by your daily numbers you need to hitHow do you guys get Protein into your backload? Next Problem is that I have Dinner with my girlfriend and she is vegetarian, so it is even harder to get protein in during the backload.Plan accordingly. If you are backloading with that kind of stuff have cottage cheese in addition or shakes. Don't let anyone else derail your diet. You not being a vegetarian isn't stopping your girlfriend from being a vegetarian My wife thinks I am nuts with CBL but that's her and not me. If you cook then make 2 different dinners. I thought cheese may be an option but it has to much fat and this is bad for the first meal of the backload.Cheese isn't a carb so I don't know why you would backload with it. If you mean using it sparingly with foods during a backload then sure. Hope you can give me some recomendations and tips!CBL requirements some personalization. You will need to see what works for you. There's plenty of ways to make it work for you.

As mentioned above, cheese has hardly any carbs in it. Great for ULC lunch though. Buffalo mozarella... mmmmmm! 😛

tibretMemberI meant cheese as a source of Protein during my backload. In the backload you should have carbs and protein but low fatafter that you can have some fattier stuff. Was just an idea to add vegetarian calories but I think the fat content may be a problem.

atomicusMemberYeah it's OK for later on in the backload, as that blunts the insulin spike late in the evening, which is desired. Great during the day though, as great source of fat and protein (pretty much 1:1 for some varieties) and very low carb.

I wouldn't make it a main sourceIn the backload you should have carbs and protein but low fatafter that you can have some fattier stuff. Was just an idea to add vegetarian calories but I think the fat content may be a problem. You can have fish or salmon if you like.
