Newbie to the forum. Just finished the book for the first time and will reread aagain, but I think I will need more help. I like the ideas and I'm currenly IF and carb cycling every third day. So this should work well for me.I love carbs and its been hell not eating them. I have lost a bunch of weight and now after 2 years of steady trainnig I'm ready to put on some size and also get ripped.Stats:Age 456'1"215Bf-13-15%Workout 6 days a week (Hypetrophy MAX)

imho doesn't matter much as it really varies from person to person.. there's a lot more to it than just someone is x pounds at x bf% and they need x macros or x calories to gain or lose weight..

What’s’ your opinion on the early morning workouts and CBL? I think I’m doing it right with no carbs until dinner and then wait an hour to CBL with high glycemic carbs.

hard to say i workout in the afternoon around 4pm.. there's a lot of talk about what is more beneficial for morning workout.. even keifer says to backload the night before when doing AM workouts.. i would try both for a couple weeks and see what works best for you

if you want to gain muscle and lose fat simultaneously id say only backload the days before multiple sessionsif you just want to get big and dont care you can backload every training dayseems like always, its kind of goal dependent, personally i would only do before multiple training days but im around 15% bfand also it means your backloads can be bigger ;]

yea I just started and I think I BL too much I'm doing it the night before and slamming high glycemic foods that my wife made for me. I may back off and only BL the night before big muslce days. One of the bigest problems I have is bad knees and I cant do good training on them right now.So I'm doing alot of upper body work.M- chestTu- shldstrapsw- backth - armsFri - ChestshldsSat - back- trapsun - Golf what is thoughts on oatmeal cookies homemade (no raisens or chocolate chips) sugarbrown sugar??Thanks

well i would assume the fact that oats are super low gi they wouldnt work so well, maybe if made with dextrose? idk i have never done dextrose baking and that workout looks ok lessen your weekly load if you want by combining more muscle groups, but if you like going 6 times or whatever you rprefereance seems fine. Also even if you have knee issues id still try training legs a bit, of course not past what you feel is comfortable, just to maintain your strength. Were you injured recently?i assume shoulders chest and traps are your lagging body parts?

that stinks, they are my favorite. I have my wife add chocolate chips.I also have some others things at night like rice pudding and ice cream for a CBL. I has surgery on one knee and then it felt so great I started doing 2 a days with plyo at night and hurt them jumping around like a fool.I still work lighhtly on my legs when they feel good and I also go to PT twice a week to work on them. I got cortizone shots in both(which didn't work) and now I on my 5th short of supartz. I'm also on celebrex which I hate. and Norco for pain. Which I barely take. I have been told that I need to slow dow and take it easy to let them heal. That is hard to do for me.I would like more growth on my chestshoulders and traps. I honestly think I need help everywhere. But I'm my worst critic.

could switch up your extra workouts past once a week if u want to work on everything that stinks though legs are so fun 😛

yea, I want to strengthen my legs more. They feel soooo weak.I'm torn with taking off for a week or so to let the swelling go away or continuing to work out lightly on them to keep flexibility and strength going.Question: I've just started this program a week ago and was wondering when most start to see affects from it. So far I have noticed too much. So far the most I see is some strenght gain.Thoughts??

depends on experience i guess, seems the more u have trained the slower results come no more “noob gains” but you have to work hard for them, also depends on the program some just arent very good. I started 5/3/1 my bench has gone up at least 10lbs higher than i have ever benched in like 3 weeks
