Supplements on off days

    I'm looking at switching from DB to SA. It's not clear to me from reading the book whether I should be using Leucine and above 10g of protein in a shake on off days. Leucine and protein power will cause an insulin spike right? I'm only using whey isolate at the moment, and I was thinking it would be ok to have 25g with 5g creatine, and 3g leucine on an off day. I would probably take this twice per day on top of the AM accelerator. Is this a good idea when in SA phase or is the idea not to spike insulin at all until post workout for best results?

    Just use the shake for post workout only. No carbs unless you intend for a backload

    Just to be clear no shake whatsoever then? No protein or Leucine and obviously no dextrose etc unless backloading. All protein from food then on ULC day??

    up to you really.. i have 1/2 scoop of protein + 3g of leucine with my dinner meal and sometimes with my evening meal but i also use egg protein not whey...

    leucine is key for getting the process of muscle growth going.. i'd be more concered about having it in the AM but in the afternoon having it with meals shouldn't be much cause for concern
