I tore my Glenoid labrum in my right shoulder, its commonly called a SLAP tear. Has anyone ever delt with that before? My orthopedic is telling me that I won't be able to lift heavy ever again (which is why I want to find another ortho!). He is suggesting not to fix the SLAP tear and cut my bicep from where it anchors to the shoulder and reattach it on the upper arm below the labrum so it won't pull on the tear. I am unsure about this kind of surgery. I was wondering if anyone out there has every had a SLAP tear before and what your experience was rehabbing it. Thanks to anyone out there who might be able to share there experience!I'm completely bummed about this since I just got done rehabbing my left shoulder after 3 years of problems and surgery and my lifts where just starting to get back on track. 🙁 Cheers!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SLAP_tear
