Hi, I have recently finished the book and the PWO shake ingredients confused me a little. In the book it lists 3 different protein types, are all 3 required for this shake? I am on a budget, Whey Isolate seems a must for all of shakes pre, intra workout etc, but which other protein is essential for PWO? Casein Hydrolysate seems difficult to get hold of in the UK and is fairly expensive, can anyone recommend an alternative? Thanks in advance 🙂** just to add, I do have several KG's worth of Gaspari Myofushion Probiotic Whey, contains (blend ofWhey Protein Concentrate, Brown Rice Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Casein Milk Protein Isolate, Egg Albumin, and fast acting Whey Protein Hydrolysate) - is this a good alternative?

Well, the Hypertrophy shake, for best budget, should have creatine, whey(concentrate or isolate inst that much of a deal in my experience), casein and hydrolised whey plus de carbs if applyable,The rest is justt o tweak it to the max and for the money you spent, it inst worth to buy the super expensive casein hydrolised,The Gaspari is nce but you have to see the amount of each protein,Its more or less like this :5g creatine50g dextrose20g whey20g casein10g hydrlisedThats the blend i do and works nicely without being the god-all-mighty expensive

cheers for replying, do you add the casein hydrolysate in your intra drink? Would you still use the Gaspari Myofusion in your CBL to use it up? Appreciate your time

I dont buy the casein hydrolisate, dont have any way of getting it at a decent price lolIn my intra-train i use 5g creatine, 10g hyrolisate, 10g whey and 25g dextrose but thats because i am on DB protocol, In SA, i dont have itYes you can use it on your backloads, specially half an hour before your 2nd backload if you have it,Take a serving of thr myofusion wuith 3g leucine and you have a nice insulin spike there,Do it if your protein macros for the day arent met

Sean: You list a very specific dosage for each ingredient in the post-workout shake. Short of buying all these ingredients separately and getting out a funnel and the bunson burners and mixing this stuff in your own kitchen, I don’t really know how you can more simply create a shake. Is there a more simple version you can give us?Kiefer: If I had to make it quick and simple, I’d go with whey isolate and leucine. Creatine too. That’s dirt cheap.interview with sean hyson http://www.seanhyson.com/blog/carb-backloading-qa-part-ii
